Selective clearing — sometimes called mosaic clearing or wildlife clearing — is the deliberate, tree-by-tree approach to land management. Instead of removing all woody vegetation, we work with you to identify exactly which trees, brush patches, and understory you want preserved and which you want gone. Our forestry mulchers can work right up to the trunk of a flagged live oak, clear cedar from beneath it, and never touch the oak itself.

This is the right approach for ranches under 1-d-1 wildlife exemptions (which require a specific mosaic of cleared and uncleared land to maintain qualification), hunting properties that need shooting lanes without losing cover, view-corridor work that opens vistas while preserving specimen trees, and any property where the owner values the look of mature trees and selective brush over a bulldozed clear-cut.
