Stump Grinding Texas Hill Country

Stump grinding uses a dedicated rotating cutter wheel to chew a tree stump down to 6–12 inches below ground level, destroying the root crown and leaving wood chips that can be backfilled or hauled off. It's the standard finishing step after any tree removal — and the only practical way to make the former tree location usable for mowing, landscaping, fencing, or building.

Left in place, stumps create real problems: they're a constant tripping hazard, they wreck mower blades and trimmer line, they attract termites and carpenter ants right next to your house, and many tree species (mesquite, hackberry, chinaberry) will resprout from the stump indefinitely. Grinding eliminates all of that in a few hours.
